Anah Chabot - Our friend, Rest in Peace

We found out Monday that our friend, Anah Chabot, passed away. Her husband, Darin, is one of Marcus' best friends, and they also have a daughter, Bella, that is the same age as Madelyn. We have been caught so off guard, which I'm sure is how everyone feels that knows the Chabot family. I pray for peace during this time of awful loss and pain. Please say a prayer for Darin and Bella, that they might feel God's power and love through this horrible situation.

Since I have had several "hits" on this blog by people trying to find information about Anah, I thought I would post info about the upcoming memorial service.

It has been tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 3rd, at 1pm. It will take place at Dudley Hoffman funeral home in Santa Maria. If the time/date changes, I will be sure to update them on my blog.

My husband, Marcus, spent some time with Darin the other day, so be rest assured that he is with good people and he is doing quite well, considering. And I know that Bella is doing fine, as well. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, along with the members of their extended families. I know this has been a difficult time for all of them, as it will continue to be. I have received several comments from people who knew Anah. I wasn't extremely close to her, but I thought she was so sweet and kind, and she was a GREAT mommy to that little girl. She and I found out we were pregnant on the same day, and she and Darin got married within a few months of Marcus and I. Are lives seemed to be running parallel! It is so sad to know that she is gone.

For those of you that wish to, leave a comment and I will let Darin know to get on this blog and read them as well so that he may know that you are all thinking of him and Bella right now.

I am so humbled to be a part of remembering Anah. My original post was merely for me to mourn her, but I am glad that you all have found this as well.

Hi...I am an old friend of Anah's and ran across your blog while googling her name this morning. We were the best of friends in our younger days. I was hoping that what I had heard was just a rumor. I am heartbroken. Could you please email me any contact or other info for Darin? I have no idea what happened to her. I have no way of getting in touch with anyone. Thank you, Laura (Holt) Heinz

My family and I moved to Paso Robles this fall and had the pleasure of meeting The Chabot family trough my husband Michael who became friends with Darin. Anah and I became great friends and Bella also became a great friend with my two daughters.
Anah was a Smart, Loving and Beautiful woman whom I will eternally miss.
Darin and Bella are in my heart and prayers.
Thank you for putting this together, and allowing those who knew Anah to reflect how she touched our lives.

Thank you again for the information. I will always remember Anah's bright smile and her big and loving heart. We were instant friends in our little school. She could light up a room and her laughter was infectious. She lit up my life. She was a truly wonderful soul. She loved her family and was one of those rare people who always see the good in others. We had so much fun together. We grew up together, and then grew apart. She has always and will always hold a special place in my heart. Darin, if you read this please know that my prayers are with you and that beautiful little girl of yours. I am so very sorry for your loss. Love, Laura

I am also an high school friend of Anah's and Darin's. I live out of state now and found out this morning and like Laura I hoped what I had heard was false. It is so sad that the world had to lose a wonderful person like Anah. I know she was always fun to be around. I haven't seen or talked to Anah or Darin in several years and hoped to one day be reunited with her. Now I will have to wait a little longer.

I pray for Anah's family and that beautiful little girl. I can just imagine the wonderful mother that she was. Darin when you read this you may not remember me but I want you to know my heart goes out to you.

I also would like to thank the person that put this page together in the memory of Anah. A place where those that are now far away can share their sympothies.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Chabot/Hawkins famlies

I had the pleasure of knowing Anah for just a small part of her life, but I feel blessed to have known her at all. She was a part of our church here in Paso Robles, and loved working with the kids. I had the chance to pray with her on Sunday, the day before she passed. She LOVED Jesus and whenever I saw her, she was always "looking up.." Our prayers are with Darin and Bella and hope we can be a church family to them for years to come.
