Three days left to enter (I will pick a winner on 6/10/09)!
My Gratitude List - June 2, 2009
1. My husband. Without his support in my life, few things would be possible. I know he is a gift from God in my life.
2. Chase Benjamin. He teaches me so much about myself. My mom was right, I would get my pay-back with my own children for how I acted as a child!!! He forces me to adapt, and he shows me where I need to be stronger.
3. Madelyn Riley. I don't know what I would do if I were the only girl in the family. She is such a great combination of Marcus and myself. She makes me laugh everyday!
4. My job. I was promoted in January, which is quite a big deal considering the economic downturn in this country. I have learned so much from this job, no matter where I end up, I know I have a great foundation.
5. My extended family. My parents, step-parents, and in-laws are some of the most supportive people you could ever hope to know. And my sister, well, she's quite grown-up now! It's so wonderful to have an adult friendship with her where we no longer fight over friends and/or clothing!
6. My sobriety. I haven't discussed this much on this page, but I've been sober for over 5 years now. I can't imagine my life any different than it is today, and it is in great part due to the fact that I do not drink at all. This may boggle some of your minds, especially if you knew me back in the day, but not even a drop :)
7. My girls. I have never been one for "lots" of best friends. I tend to stick with just a few. And those of you who have stuck it out over the long haul - thank you! And those of you I'm getting back in touch with - I'm so glad. I have been saddened for a long time that I did not stay in contact with you. Thank goodness for Facebook, MySpace, and Blogger!!!
Remembering these things keeps me from going crazy on a daily basis! My friend from college, Emilie Wall, used to have me write a Psalm 23:6 List (another version of a gratitude list) because the verse it references is so important to remember
"Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."
So here's the give away entry requirements: Add a comment that includes your personal Psalm 23:6 list and I'll have a great prize for the winner (to be drawn randomly of course)!

My Personal Gratitude List:
1. My family. I am probably one of the luckiest girls alive to have my whole family so close to me. Within a 1 mile radius I have 2 sisters, mom and dad, 2 nephews, and of course my own family.
2. Great friends. Certain times remind me of how fortunate I am to have such great friends. This is one of those times, and every hug from a friend is so precious.
3. My doggies, Kyla and Olie. They have gotten me through some of the roughest spots in my life, and for that I am thankful. They are always there with a kiss and tail wagging.
4. A beautiful place to call home. Of course, without my job this would not be possible, so these go hand in hand.
1. Brooklyn. God gave me the best gift of all, the gift of love. I am pretty lucky to have that little dude. He is the reason I get out of bed every morning! Literally... Usually, to make him toast or something. :)
2. My family. Without them, I would be a basket case! I love spending quality wii time with them. I am blessed to have a family that helps me so much. Because of them, I am able to continue my education.
3. My friends. They are the few people that I don't have to censor myself around and they know my intentions usually without explanation. I love the new exciting stories that I get to hear on a weekly basis, and more importantly I love having "girl talks". "With friends like these, who needs anemones?"
4. My job. I truly am lucky to have landed a position in such a great company. I couldn't ask for a better group of people. I thank God everyday for my ability to work and provide for my family of 2. For this I am grateful!
Great idea!
1. My husband, Kyle. I am so thankful for such a great and supportive husband.
2. My baby Callie. She's the best thing ever!
3. Friends and family. I have such a great family and wonderful friends.
Ok, I must admit - I hopped over from CHristy's blog 'cause I saw the giveaway not realizing who this was! The married name really threw me! Hi BEcky! Really neat post idea, by the way!
I don't have a real long list, but I am grateful to get this opportunity to be a stay at home mom at this point in my life. It is a true answer to prayers. It feels like a gift. (most days, anwyay!) :)
Just saw your post about the house -- hope it all works out for you!!
Okay, here is a list from me:
1. Owen and Greg in no particular order. They keep life unpredictable, interesting, and both are ceaselessly enchanting.
2. The rest of my family.
3. Opportunities. Making BIG changes in your life is scary and unpredictable. But it is also exciting and thrilling and has great potential.
4. Education. I can tell you a lot of things that you probably don't care to know about. Few people really care about what I know, but I am glad I know it and spent all those years in grad school learning it.
5. Wisconsin weather. SO much better than SC. 75 and sunny today with a gentle breeze. perfect.
6. Cookies. Really good homemade ones. They make everything better.
My Gratitude List:
1. A redeeming God, any of you who know me know why this is so important to me!!
2. My family: Mikey! What a kind, generous, gentle man! My girls who truly are the best things I've ever done..., my boy Marcus, Chase and Madelyn - who knew you could love this much!!! Sisters and brothers - who love me inspite of myself...
3. Barbie: Her friendship defies reason and logic - Thank God!!
4. A nice home, a good job, purpose in this life.
5. On a lighter note... 4 day work weeks in the summer!!!
